  1. It does look lovely in the hedgerows. It is a pest in the garden. It seeds around everywhere in my garden. And if you don’ t notice it you have a huge rambling plant which is very difficult to dig out.

    • The flower of this wild clematis is smaller and understated compared to some of the big showy hybrids, its seed head is quite extravagant then gets shaggier and more unkempt before winter decay. I love seed heads almost more than showy flowers, this one is beautiful even though it can be rampant.
