That’s beautiful Julie, nice capture.
Thanks Christina, the forecast is more cold frosty days to the end of February, on the upside at least the standing seed heads will look good.
A lovely frosty pic
I would rather your lovely Iris Helen!
Much as I’m lucky not to have colder weather here, it can sometimes make for gorgeous photos, like this one.
Thanks Jen, I am looking forward though to owning a seaside garden one day and just looking at photos of chillier weather. 🙂
How lovely it would be for arrangements if only it would keep its frosty appearance in the house.
That would be very nice indeed! Going to look closely at frosted seed heads is a coat, hat and gloves business right now.
Very pretty! All our seed-heads get battered and knocked down by the wind so no frosty pics for me!
These were in a nearby field Clare, I have a dog who is very patient whilst I take photos on our daily dog walk. 🙂
What a good dog!
The color palate and the lighting are so wonderfully combined to create such a special image.
Thanks Charlie, you always say such charming things. 🙂
A beautiful monochrome!
Thanks, thats actually an untouched colour photo, the day was so bleak!
I did think it might be, but the conditions produced a great effect!
Beautiful! I am surprised it still looks so beautiful. I haven’t seen any still standing around here, I don’t have any in the garden. Amelia
Bizarrely alongside a nearby field sown almost yearly with oilseed rape, is a sign posted “conservation strip” where hogweed is still standing. I always look at it wryly though thinking how many chemicals are put on the fields and what is the transfer to the “conservation” strip, but at least it is something rather than nothing.
A step in the right direction at least.
Beautiful! It’s a like a snowy piece of art. 🙂
Thanks Tammy, we’ve had a big change in weather this week and temperatures have risen up to 9c, the snow has gone and its almost spring like now. Hope the weather is good where you are too.
